Long time No blog!!!

I know its been a long time since blogged and really no excuse...time just seemed to pass me by for a while but hopefully back on track now :0)

i do hope everyone had a good festive period and would like to take this opportunity to wish all a very happy and healthy 2012!! enjoy whatever you are doing to welcome the new year in to your lives xx

Anyway i have still been crafting just not blogging on what im up, in fact its been an extremely busy time for me and will play a little catch up over the next week or so with projects...to start with i'll get the lovely christmas cards i made for my family posted. My son had his first nursery pictures taken just after his 3rd birthday and i really wanted to use these for special family so created a bauble like dropper for these cards with various gorgeous pictures of him ( im biased i know but he is soooo cute!!) and they can actually go on the tree ready for next year if wished to.

I used the festive jolly holiday DSP now retired but thankfully i had a stash hidden and should have a little left for next year as they are lovely :0)

As i said the photo is a dropper so dangles when the card is stood up and can be removed for safekeeping...id like to think all my families trees will have Ben on them next year!!

I leave it here for now and will be back shortly with more of my crafty items

Happy New Year to all, Good Luck with 2012

Take care

Hello for the second time today and thankfully things are working and much calmer than this morning!!

Lots of coffee flowing to keep me going ( and sane as one of those days and then some )

Well finally managed to upload these pictures just took me a while :0)
A friend is leaving her job next friday and will be visiting tomorrow so wanted to make her a good luck card as she is going travelling...alone! More guts than ive got :-0

I made this 'good luck' clover with the i heart hearts stamp set in old olive, simply tied some seam binding around and a good luck sign...quick and simple but cute!!

Always got to add a bit of bling to my projects and perfect as a the centerpiece to the clover, hope she likes it and wish her all the luck in the world with her future xx

Now we had a busy weekend with Southport Airshow and an open day at the local fiire station, Ben loves fireman sam so we had a fab time at the station, he loved sitting in the engines...a little too much, had to prise him out but had to show you this piccie of him posing by the fire boat as he calls it!!

Still here!!

Just struggling to juggle everything at the moment! sorry!!

Well so busy as usual but feeling sooooo old as my neice is 18 on Weds, and can remeber the day she was born :0)

She loves pink so made her fab black and pink card with her name on it and some yummy cupcakes as she is having these instead of a big cake...cant wait for those rainbow cupcakes!!

I glittered the 18 in dazzling diamonds as she takes after me being a glitter girl at heart!!

Using the top note die made a little gift box for her present and added 'more pink' butterflys and ribbon, very pleased with it and am sure wogs will love it!!

Anyway Ive done a few summer/craft fairs over last few weeks and still got some to go and seem to be using my order book much much more ( always a good thing) so decided to make it much prettier to look at and decorated in crumb cake and old olive with some butterflys thrown in for decoration...love it!!!

Blinged up my butterflies with gems too and really love looking at it and even more so using it!!
Thats all for me today

still busy busy busy bee and got tons to do!!

Owls, Owls, Owls!!

Hey crafters, a mixture today weather wise, either persisting down with rain or bright sunshine...not the weather to plan on a long walk to the park...very wet!!

Anyway ive been busy making allsorts oif things for a summer fayre this weekend and todays task has been owl fridge magnets.

As you can see i have quite a following already of feathery friends on my fridge and they are just soooo cute. they are really shiny as have glossed the surface but this picture doesnt do that justice sorry!

Well whilst making these i decided to make a special one for a friend.

Ive used the box template from Jo dumbletons owl tutorial to make it special little box to live in :0) and below you can see it side on, again pictures are not the best quality.

July 19th 2011 should of been Ruby May's 1st birthday but she was born a sleeping angel and so as a little token of our love and affection i made her her own special owl!

As you can see it's all in 'Ruby' which just happens to be the birthstone for July also, and below the box with the sleeve removed, opens like a matchbox.

Happy first Birthday Ruby May
Always in our thoughts
R.I.P

Thats me for today

take care and thanks for stopping by, leave a comment so i know you've called

Just Believe

Good morning on another gorgeous sunny day!
Well i have been inspired by Becki who made some lovely cards with this stamp set but i havent invested in a brayer...yet! Had to settle with a sponge :0)

I used perfect plum for the backgrouns and the shadow effect topped with black and some non SU card to make this giftboxed notelet set.

Inside are four cards like this one so you can send for any occassion or just because...

And here the full set alltogether, am hoping other people like them as have a craft fayre next weekend...fingers crossed for new customers, new friends and my goodies selling :0)

Loved the way they turned out so made one in blue tones too!!

Well thats me for today, going to enjoy a little crafting time before some sunshine.

Happy Birthday to my SU mummy Julie wishing you a lovely day

take care and thanks for stopping by

summer shopper

Hi Crafters

hope all enjoying some nice weather although i think its getting a little chilly here!
Busy and stressful week really...so much for unwinding before jobhunting, no such luck!! Still got lot of crafty bits to do but Ben keeps helping so dont seem to be getting anywhere fast :0)

Anyway Love this card, such a shame to give away...the colours are lovely and summery and really stand out on kraft card.

I coloured a Pink Petticoat design with promarkers and matched up some SU paper from the sweet and sour DSP, embossed with square lattice to add a bit of texture and used a couple of flowersx i had in my stash to decorate.

Unfortunatly this picture bit fuzzy but you do get a closer look and the flowers and added some pink gems too as never complete without a bit of bling on!!

Thats it from me for today...hopefully get a few more jobs done around the house!!

Take care

Wedding boxes!

Good evening all
Hope you all had a lovely day :0)

Well the only thing i seem to be making at the moment are invitations and i cant show you them as the bride hasnt seen them yet! and these exploding boxes!

I go through phases of getting tons of order for them then nothing then more but i suppose thats good.

Anyway I found these gorgeous flower gems at the craft shop and had to have them!!

I used very vanilla card to make the wedding cake and lined it round the edges with a non SU paper that happened to find a piece of in my stash!! It matched the flowers perfectly!!

I put 3 little paper flowers as the centrepiece and here's a little bit closer view of the really cute gems...they did them in so many colours too, may just have to go back and get some more!!

Well I love this box and its by far my favorite so far...will be a struggle to give this one away :0)

Thats all for now

more butterflies!

Evening all, strange day today as less than 2 working days left at my job so today was sad but happy if you know what i mean?! Confusing i know :-/

plus the weather was gorgeous...whilst im at work by time done dishes after tea it was pouring down with rain!! just my luck really!!

Anyway on to crafting...similar to yesterdays post in different colour way, this is for a friend who i really should make much more of an effort to see as its been ages and its her birthday on friday, hope she likes it :)

I really love the springtime vintage papers at the moment they are my go to when having a crafting inspiration blank!!

Below you can see the gorgeous detail on the butterfly with the beautiful wing embosslit, plus you can put them either way up on your project...i like the idea of the tiny ones in a shaker card...thats another thing on my to do list...watch this space eh and i may actually get round to doing!!

Again the not so basic pearls add the extra something and voila!!

thats me for today, making a head start on jobs for tomorrow so may finish my list...fingers crossed.

Take care and happy crafting

springtime butterflies

Well such a busy weekend for me really and im tired :-( but what can you do when you got a to-do list the length of your arm and getting nowhere fast!!

moan over!!  On to nicer things...crafty things.
this is a card for a friend in Holland, hopefully it will arrive on time for her birthday although was a little late posting it...ooops!

Again with the springtime vintage papers teamed with wild wasabi and very vanilla, very simple layout and i think it turned out fab...im all for simplicity, life's too complicated at the moment!!

I used the square lattice embossing folder but created a small gap for the greeting to go and then decorated with beautiful wings embosslit which i have also fallen in love with...so cool to cut all these gorgeous butterflys out already embosed at the turn of a handle! Sorry little bit of a ramble there :0)

Anyway topped them off with dome coloured non SU gems and even put a couple of little butterflies decorating the inside but forgot to take a photo of those!!

well will leave it here for tonight, have washing to fold, dishes to finish, hair to dry...such is life eh!!

take care all and thanks for topping by, comments very welcome so i know i am doing something right!!

Good evening all

A mixed day today with the weather not knowing what to do so you dont know what to wear etc and seemed to have rushed, rushed, rushed everywhere all day and not gotten very far with any of my jobs :(

One job i did get done is this little set with the owl punch...i needed a picture for my new leaflets so these certainly fit the bill!! What do you think??

I love this little owl soo much and really have not played with my punch until now...there are little owls all over my dining table at the moment because i craft then blog then clear away my mess!

Anyway fingers crossed i will get some new business from my new leaflets

Flowers for mum

Afternoon on this ridiculous rainy day here!!

Just a quick post from me today as so much to do but no energy to get going :(
I saw these on SU demo Jo Dumbleton who gave a fab tutorial but i have only just got around to trying it and perfect for my mum's birthday last weekend.
I used whisper white and pumpkin pie for a bright zingy look and even decorated the vase too.

I know my pictures are not very good...i am trying to get better, fingers crossed will get it sorted one day soon!
Here's the finished article after i'd fancied it up with some cellophane and ribbon...my mum loved it and takes pride of place in the hallway for all to see :0)
Thats it for today...back to the to-do list

Still here!!

Hi all
i know its been a while but i have been soooo busy finshing off wedding invitations and jobhunting...a unusual combination i know :0)

I havent really had the chance to do anything other than stuff wedding related but did manage to make an anniversary card today and hoping to get some crafting done tomorrow...that is the plan anyway, fingers crossed.

Springtime vintage papers to the rescue...i just love them and they lend themselves to so many occassions.I used them with Baja Breeze and my daisies #2 die which i speckled with marina mist to add a bit of something to them.
the sentiment is from cottage garden and i stamped in marina mist.

The recipient of this card loved it almost as much as i do...simple but stunning :)

thats it for now and hopefully i will be able to blog a little bit more regular inthe future

Birthday Box!

Good evening all!!

Fairly nice day here today, sun is shining but still very windy :0)

Ive still got tons of stuff to do and don't seem to be getting anywhere with my 'to-do' list but did mamange to make this gift box for my mums birthday at the weekend.
I have not managed to buy the top note die so had to improvise with a fancy embossing folder for my top and bottom.

Along with the  scroll effect around the edges the little flower looks fab and love the effect of the ribbon through the petals, topped off with a gem for the centre and a happy birthday...just got to figure out how to get her present in there with the same lovely effect???
Well thats it from me today...short and sweet sorry!

little bit of everything!!

hi crafters hope all well
Its been a busy week for me...physically and mentally so not much crafting done (apart from wedding invitations and i cant show you those just yet ) these are a few things i made at the weekend as had a bit of tidy up in crafty room and found these lovely toppers/papers...the one below with cute owls...father and son for ian for Fathers day!!

lovely bird topper and SU card that compliments very well for a birthday/anniversary card

I love these...sooo much! i have to make some more the trouble is finding sweets that fit in the tubes and as i take my 'work' seriously am having to buy all sorts os sweeties and if they dont fit its such a shame to waste dont you think :0)
these have mini marshmallows in at the moment and are lovely as gifts...have tons of ideas of what to go in them so keep checking for these posts!!

i also took inspiration from my Su mum Jules with the lolly stick bookmarks...again lots of ideas for variations on these just need to find a little time to craft.

I did find these fab googly eyes at the craft shop and if you look closely they have eyeshadow on and do them in all sorts of colours and sizes for your projects
Well thats it from me as i said its been a tough week as ive had big decisions to make...i have decided to leave my current job and handed my notice in yesterday so leave June 24th, jobhunting here i come!!

thats it from me

Saturday 21 May 2011

well more stationary sets from me today as knew there were other people out there who still do the 'old fashioned' handwritten letters :)

had a few requests for these and am trying to stock up ready for a craft fayre coming up soon!!

This one is for me mum, springtime vintage papers again along with always artichoke crd and crumb cake seam binding, I added the just believe stamp as always tht something to a project.

I decorated very simply on the inside and again springtime vintage DS papers on the pen to tie it all together!
Added the just believe stamp to the papers too for added extra along with some ruffled seam binding

She requested two so did a yellowy/orange version too and hope she likes them.

Anyway I did make some decorated test tubes with sweeties in but unfortunatly my little lad got to them before i could take a photo and demolished them...sweetie addict (like his mum!!) so they will have to wait till another day to post.

ill leave it here for tonight, we are going out for the day tomorrow so looking forward to some family time

take care
