long time no blog!!

Well there has been a huge lack of posting on my behalf and to be honest no valid excuse...i have been crafting lots and lots just soooo busy in the run up to Christmas which now seems like a distant memory :0}

So ive made the resolution to blog regularly or am hoping to amoungst other things too!!

So quickly to start off ive got the little pillow boxes i made for friends at work soo cute and im loving the Happy Hour stamp set in the new catalogue.

Made in Cherry Cobbler with a splash of DSp for a belly band and red glimmer paper along with some bakers twine and ribbon i added a jingle bell that i found at craft shop and could not resist, they really finished off the look i was aiming for.

here they are all together and i made a mini card to go inside each of them with a little pair of stud earrings colour matched to the recipients favorite colour attached to the card :0)

they were much appreciated by all who recieved one and i definatley enjoyed making them!!

As well as the gift boxes as im sure everyone else at this time of year the christmas card making goes a little berserk as well as my own had lots of requests for special ones as well as everyday ones in all shapes and sizes hence me getting a little 'snowed under' forgive the pun :0)

one of my many favorites is this made with the medallion stamp in midnight muse and heat embossed with a very sparkly irridescent powder = stunning!!

You can just about see the shimmer but the photo really does not do it justice!!

Anyway thats it for now....am aiming to get back on track and fingers crossed!!

Hope everyone had safe and happy festive season and i want to wish everyone a very Happy new Year!! All the best for 2013!!

baggy book

Good afternoon crafters!

long time no blog!! Ive been sooo busy over last few weeks that really just have not stopped so i apologise for the lack of posts, hopefully am getting more organised and back on track :0)

Anyway i attended all day team training in Pudsey last weekend which was fab as always and that saw the return of the 'baggy book'!! I love these as showcase a product and just a selection of the things you can do with it.

Todays turn was Papillion Potpourri...now im not a butterfly person and only ordered this for the training day but have found myself using it over and over again and its safe to say ive been converted!!

Crumb cake - another of my favorites! and raspberry ripple were used on this my favorite card in the baggy book!
I apologise for the poor photo quality - silly me put the book all together before i photographed them so the flash bounces off the poly bags sorry :0(

the Fancy fan embossing folder adds all the detail to the background with a stamped butterfly and sprinkling of gems and a gorgeous vintage faceted button to the middle of butterfly and voila!! lovely!!

I even stamped a little butterfly on the bag topper to extend the details

very nice

thats it from me

Good evening all
A bit of a late post from me today as been to a funday at my son's nursery...lots of fun had by all and thankfully the weather was dry and sunny for a change.
Then had to catch up on the chores around the house...its been a little neglected this past week as been sooooo busy.
and then to top it all off not only do we have a huge Stampin' Up! retirement list but also the new Seasonal catalogue went live today too!!!

Its all GO!!
Firstly the new seasonal catalogue is Autumn/Winter combined instead of the mini's we are used to having and is full to brimming of fabulous goodies, all very scrummy!!

Too many to choose from like
all thats needed to make these fantastic baubles
and absolutly tons more!!

Thats not all either on a sad note alot and i mean alot of things are retiring never to be seen again and once they have gone they are gone for good :0(

Well thats it from me today, time for a cuppa and sit down with my SU catty and decide on what im ordering next.

wisteria wonder birthday

Good morning crafters

A wet day here today so perfect excuse for crafting...not that i need one :0)

ive been plodding my way through lots of orders at the moment...weddings as well as everyday cards etc! busy busy busy thats me!!

Todays offering is a very simple and quick, my motto it seems at the moment but lovely card for a birthday.

it uses a non SU backing paper but wisteria wonder matches it perfectly to highlight the sentiment which i printed, then used to make a flower with the fun flowers die.

Embossed flowers with perfect polka dots folder and used the little leaves in the new in colour gumball green...available from October 1st 2012, very nice!

Look at the height of the flower it really stands out from the card which is lovely, added the details with a nonb SU button and obligatory bling.

hopefully the recipient will like it

take care

not looking forward to it and am worrying so much that my crafty mojo disappeared...ive had ideas for loads of stuff but when i make anything looks poop so have given up now.

Just to say though Ben still smiling despite sometimes being in pain with this brave little solider.

believe birthday

Good evening all

Quick post from me tonight...tons to do as per usual :0)

ive been clearing some files from my laptop and realised there are a few i havent shared so filling some gaps with them as to be honest havent had chance to do any crafting over last week or so :((, am hoping to remedy that this weekend though fingers crossed!!

I used the alltime favorite of JusT Believe, a fab set that can cover many varied occassions along with some Twitterpated DSP, a little bit of crumb cake, added a few itty bitty flower punches and gems and a fab bow that i must admit took me so long to get right and voila!!

The sentiment is computer generated and i used the decorative label punch to cut out and layer up.

A lovely design, simple and quick that am sure to make again.

Take care

Quick and simple christening card commission tonight, was a bit thrown together but i like it and im loving the less is more saying at the moment.

I found a little teddy bear charm in my stash of many useful things and thought that would add a finishing touch so tied with some baby blue gingham ribbon...lovely

As always a little bit of bling added...only tiny ones :0)

Thats me for tonight

Another Anniversary

hi crafters

This is the card i made for me and my family to send to my cousin for her 25th wedding anniversary.

I added some gems, an adorning edgelet embossing with hearts and a heart from the i heart hearts stamp set topped with a  printed sentiment.

Hi crafters

A quick post from me today as ive had such a busy weekend ive had to appoint myself some chillout time before it starts all over again monday morning!!

Anyway its my cousins 25th Wedding Anniversary in August and my mum asked me for a special card for them...I was their bridesmaid when i was 11!! Time flies!!

Well id seen something that would be perfect on Sarah Janes blog, she's a talented lady and a fellow jem and i used that as a base and this is what i finished with!

I love this medallion and have challenged myself to use it more as generally i think of christmas when i use it...keep your eyes open for those in the future :0)

I used basic grey for the stamp mounted with scallop punched edge to the silver card, what you cant see is that the whole card is shimmered with the shimmer spray that im addicted too...thanks to SU mummy Jules :0)

i added some bling and found these lovely little heart buckles that put some white ribbon in to add a little pizzazz!!

i printed off the sentiment as its personalised just for them so can use as a keepsake as 25 years is an acheivement!!

Thats me for today

Below is the card i made for my neices birthday on friday...19 i feel so old!!

I used the Reason to Smile stamp set which you can earn FREE all through August with an order of £60 (it is available to purchase too)

I finally got round to opening my Twitterpated papers and love them, I used them along side Daffodil Delight and finished with a very vanilla ribbon ( must admit this took me a while as i am rubbish at bow tying - definately need to practice!!)

The sentiment is from a hostess set from spring mini i think and one i have not used enough as soo cute

i finished it with obligatory bling and away we go, I also made a gift bag with a shimmered flower on but silly me forgot to take a photo of that!

Anyway after another very busy week im finally getting round to show you some of the swaps ffrom team training last weekend...a fantastic day!!

Well yesterday was my SU mummy Julies birthday and i believe she had a lovely day
this was made card for her and as you can see i was in a 'green' mood

i used the Twitterpated papers as the background and stamped a flower in certainly celery as an accent on the sentiment.

The sentiment was computer generated as been playing some new fonts and highlighted along with pear pizazz pleated ribbon...sooo cute!

I added an antique brad to the centre of my flower and voila ready to go with a few added gems to finish off

i do hope julie liked it and had a fab day
