ornament punch...or is it!

Good morning crafters!
hope you are all enjoying the long bank holiday weekend despite the weather being a little wet!!

I needed something special for my aunities 70th birthday and she loves flowers and remember seeing something like this on the internet made with the ornament punch but as usual when looking for something you never find it!!

So made or attempted to make her a card with some orchids on?? what do you think??

Closer view...i think they look like orchids but then i would!
Input greatly appreciated please :0)

I finished the front of this 3 fold card with a little very vanilla ribbon and a four frame sentiment stamp and added some pearls.

I also added a 70 to the next layer of the card and added another flower to link it in just so she knows how old she is lol!!

Again added a few pearls to add the finishing touches...hope she likes it and has a fabulous 70th birthday and party!!

Thats it for now am off to stock up on crafty supplies before hopefully having a relaxing day crafting away :0)

take care

another cupcake!

Good morning crafters, Hope all well where you are today.

today my card is another cupcake, i cant seem to get enough of it :0) and a very quick and simple birthday card

I just love the way my ribbon ruffle turned out!!

Another quick and simple birthday card for a friends mum, as you can see im working my way through a 'pastel' phase at the moment and loving the way they look together.

I used the little flower stamp in from the fresh vintage SAB set and stamped in varioyus pastel shades and cut out then finished each one with a small gem and the effect is lovely. the below picture gives you a more detailed look, hope you like it as much as me

Finished off with a bow so looks like a bouquet of flowers and viola!

take care and happy crafting

good luck!

Good afternoon crafters

ive had a busy day already but am trying to get some crafting done this afternoon...fingers crossed!!

Friday was the end of an era at my works where the ownership of the practice transferred to one of our lovely dentists and the previous owners not only celebrated 50 years in practice but their retirement so this called for 'toothy' good luck cards all round.

we also lost our lady dentist as she was transferring to a practice in liverpool so made her one too!!

I used so saffron DSP with very vanilla ribbon and white finished off with a little tooth which obviously very apt for the occassion.

I used four frames and the matching punch to make the sentiment topper...simple but very much appreciated by the recipients :0)

And below i made the same card in 3 different colorways to go along with their very unique gifts!!

Thats it for today...off to washup after a lovely sunday roast before spending rest of day crafting

create a cupcake!

good morning crafters

i had a little bit of a 'cupcake' weekend last weekend as the cards just kept coming and coming! i love the create a cupcake set and matching punch as the possibilites are endless but to play it safe i went with just cupcakes for now

I have lots of birthdays in april so tried to get a head start on them...ive normally got them all done and dusted by now but this year i seem to be way behind with everything...not enough hours in my days i think :0)

simple layouts with the cupcake as centrepiece of cards and i used the new in colours range of calypso coral, lucky limeade and pool party blinged up with some rhinestones and glimmer brads...my new best friends!!

This is a tiny card made with some scraps of crumb cake, bashful blue and melon mambo...ive made a resolution, a late one but a resolution all the same to empty my scrap box out at the end of every month and see what i come up with, hopefully will stick to it as certainly didnt stick to my diet!! OOps!!

well thats it for now as im planning more craftiness today...fingers crossed!

take care and keep crafting

simple wedding

Afternoon crafters!

happy weekend to you all

today ive been whipping up a few wedding samples for a friend and thought i'd show you a couple.

The first one uses the Marry Me stamp set from the spring mini and ive stamped it in crumbe cake on very vanilla as her colour scheme is beige and gold and they are the nearest SU colours :0)

I stamped the image smack bang in the middle added ribbon and pearls and the couples names across the centre.

i love that image so much too :0)

second one is even simpler with just the very vanilla, crumb cake and a touch of gold mirri card in a heart with some pearls to finish off.

i made alot more but im off now to make my mothers day cards.

take care and come back soon

Quickie birthday

Good morning all

Quickie post for me today...and a quick and easy card to whip up! My little boy insisted i get the sheet of stickers at the craft shop as he wanted the one and only boyish thing on there...a truck and as you can imagine i gave in, any excuse to buy crafty goodies eh!!

The car on this card is a sticker as is the happy and the decorations on the car bonnet.

I embossed and mounted some pear pizazz DSP with the vintage wallpaper folder and then for the first time ever distressed it with my new sanding blocks...you can just about see the effect on this picture but i was well impressed, loved the way it came out.

I added a simple birthday sentiment from a retired stamp set and ready to go.
I did use some sahara sand card as my base card and it really sets off the freshness of the colours but im sorry my photos dont do it justice...o to be good with a camera :0)
Thats it from me for now, hope you all have a lovely day

take care

texas party!

Hiya

i spent the weekend making lots of these quick and simple birthday party invites for a friends 30th...texas themed too!!

Simple cowboy boot downloaded from internet and printed off many times, I added a 30th to the star and some bling to liven it up.

I added the 'you're invited' stamp from the retired cheer & wishes set and mounted with real red and crumb cake.

Non SU ribbon to finish off the sentiment and voila! all ready to go and below just a few of them together :0)
cant wait for the texas themed party which is only 4 weeks away.

Thats it for me today...quick post still got washing up and drying to do as well as shower etc...busy,busy,busy!!

take care
