Evening all

Mixed day here with rain and sunshine so feel a bit like a yo-yo as been in and out trying to get gardening done etc and not getting anywhere fast...I finally gave up and did some crafting instead.

I've been playing with watercolours along with some retiring stamp sets.

To be fair I have had the swallowtail stamp unmounted for quite a while so decided to ink it up and it is so pretty, will be sad to see this go.

I love this technique and when i get going find it difficult to stop. You heat emboss your image on to watercolour paper and once heated up and set soak all around your image with water and a brush, the more haphazard you are the better effect in my opinion and then you just drop your colours with an aquabrush and the magic takes over.

I just love them

Hello crafters

Another challenge over on Not Just Cards today and i decided on making this lovely large bookmark. I love to read and always have a book or two on the go so this I made for me.

I used the Hibiscus spirit image by Aurora Wings and you can see it here

I watercoloured the image using stampin up's pool party, bermudda bay, island indigo, cucumber crush, mossy meadow, calypso coral and cajun craze as well as the stamp set timeless texture for the background base card.

I added some little stickon's i had lying around in gorgeouss gold and some vintage trim as well as pool party glitter ribbon.

I will certainly be showing her off when i am reading my book.

Pop over and join in this month's challenge here

Another Everything eleanor card and i promise to move on to something else ha ha

Quick and simple with some DSP on card basesstamped in same colour to create the sentiment block with some of the flowers stamped and cut out to layer up giving some dimension.

You can just about see the subtle shimmer gained using wink of stlla brush pen - love this!!

Good Morning all

Happy Saturday to you on this first Jem's monthly blog hop!!

This months theme is 'Retirng' products so as it's been on my blog so much recently I wanted to use Everythinng Eleanor - again i hear you say...but i love it!!!

Colour combo of calypso coral, crushed curry, basic black and whisper white...very striking

The flowers are from petite petals with a coupple of itty bitty flowers pucnhed too with lots of bling to make them sparkle.

I also splattered the background using an aquapainter in calypso coral.

Simplesntiment from Something to Say set - another on the retiring list. Get them before they sell out.

Hope you are inspired along the journey and most of all Enjoy!!

Hi all

I have been playing with watercolour pencils today and had this idea in my head for the background.
i decided to use the retiring Groovy Love stamp set.

I stammped all over the white card and then lightly coloured around the hearts before added extra along the edge and just used my aquapainter for blending together to give the watercolour wash effect.

the Baasic grey and black make the red stnad out and hi lighted the sentiment with red glimmer card.

Morning all

Happy Bank Holiday Monday!!

Hope you are enjoying your day doing something that makes you smile...for me that is familytime!!

Off to the Ice Cream Farm regardless of the weather, come rain or shine!! :0)

Anyway today's project is the quick and cute notecard made for customer thankyou's.

I love Calypso coral lot and lots, always makes me think of summer.

I only recently got Everything Eleanor - been on my list for ever and it's now retiring so will be getting as much use out of it as possible - forgive me if I overload on it!
The sentiment is from a set also retiring called Merry Everything and as I said its a quick make, easy to make bulk of and is so darn cute!!

Little punched vellum flowers dotted about - another retiring item is this punch!
The fab little enamel dots are also leaving but not to worry these are being replaced by something even more scrumptious so keep an eye out for that!!
