Anyway back on track with an embossed watercolour wash using coastal cabana, calypso coral and crushed curry...very subtle effect.

Now I want to show you my absolute fave painted petals card that I made using a technique Shelli herself showcased at Leadership in the States!!

 

 

Gorgeous!!!

 

You have to have a little patience with this as you stamp one colour at a time and spritz with water o you have the directional blur of the colours.

 

Colour combo of sahara sand, blackberry bliss, smoky slate, Bermuda bay and lucky limeade plus I also darken the sentiment oval using crumb cake and added twine to the back.

I added some clear iridescent sequins (non SU) too.

I love the way this card turned out - I found my gold sequin trim that had put so safe I could not find so really had to use them and added a few to this design.

 

Colour combo of crumb cake, rose red, wild wasabi, whisper white and basic black.

 

The background is something I printed and aged up using crumb cake ink.

 

 

The painted petals stamped onto corners and sentiment stamped in black with a few sequins dotted about and twine too.

 

 

As I said I made the background myself and if you look closely its all about Stampin up and how fab the product are!!

I think this would make a fab mothers day card for my mum who is totally amazing!!

 

 

Simple design with painted petals around the edges and sentiment set off with twine wrapped around and am thinking of something using the flower die to make a gift - I am ok to talk about it as my mum is not technical at all bless her so no chance of her seeing this before the day!!

The weekend is almost here :0)

 

I was requested to make a card in pinks and greys for a new baby and so carried on using the same colour combo of pink pirouette, wild wasabi, smoky slate and whisper white for this card.

 

 

I got the idea from a fantastic lady who's talents are just amazing and you can see her design here

I tried to do a little blending with the inks so the outside petals were darker...worked a little bit!!

 

 

Sentiment in wild wasabi set off with some gems and a perfect pootles trademark almost with the loops of twine to add details.

 

The background stamped using gorgeous grunge in pink pirouette also

Morning all

 

Continuing with painted petals I saw something on pinterest that gave me the idea for this card and a good friend returned to work after maternity leave at the beginning of the week and so wanted to mark the occasion with a card - as if I need any excuse :0)

 

 

Colour combo of crumb cake, whisper white, wild wasabi and coastal cabana and a lovely SAB freebie greeting that says it all.

 

 

I stamped the base card with crumb cake and unfortunately my coastal cabana ink pad has gone AWOL so had to improvise using baby wipes and the ink refill bottles hence the lovely mottled effect achieved here - quite nice really.

A couple of pearls added to the centre and little bit of bakers twine - love it. Hope she does too!

Today is a quick and simple offering again with Painted petals stamp set and i made a watercolour sunset background using an acrylic block and SU markers.

 

 

Image stamped in black and a second line stamped off first before stamping on card.

 

Mounted onto black to make the subtle colours stand out and unfortunately I could not get a very good picture as daylight very  dull today but you get the idea!



Simple sentiment to finish off - this is a retired set but fit the job perfectly.
